An Apology, and some Edits.

I was saddened recently to receive this comment on my blog post Tribute:
I wanted to ask you to remove your tribute to ******. I’m married to her dad and I didn’t appreciate you telling the whole world about how ****** died.
I am asking you to remove this from your web site as it is disturbing. If her dad knew this was on your web site, he would not appreciate it either.
Ma’am, I apologize if I offended you or any of the family. That was not my intention at all. I merely wanted to remember her, and share a little of my feelings about both what I knew of her, and my grief when she died. I have removed her name from the post, changing it to an anonymous “she” and “her”.
It kind of makes me sad that what I intended as a melancholy story about a very important person in my life was taken as “disturbing” or even offensive.
Random Badassery

Okay, so I’m educating my young neighbor Bryce, 14 years old, in “Great Movies You Have Got To See.” In a discussion with him a few months ago, I realized he had never seen so many movies that everyone should have to see. A few nights ago, the movie of the day was “Pulp Fiction.”
During the movie, Samuel L. Jackson cemented his reputation as a Bad-Ass Motherfucker, by quoting the Bible before killing a man. The quote was:
“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children; and I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.”
I LOVE THIS QUOTE. It just makes Samuel Jackson that much more Bad-Ass. Like he needed the help.
This in turn led me to a blog post by Cracked.Com -

Dearly Disturbed Dexter

Strangely enough, my little blog has gotten ranked in some odd places in google…. i look at the search terms that people put in and found me…
A whole bunch have to do with the show I was talking about, Dexter (a Showtime original series), about a serial killer character that you sympathize with, that you feel for as he goes about his grisly duties…
I also found the title of my blog “Devoid of Reason” is bringing me up at #1 on Google! How wierd is that?? It’s not like I invented the phrase or anything, it is fairly common usage… so why is my blog getting upped for that?
I will never understand search engines… and that sucks since I work with them!
